Wooly Adelgid

I have a European beech that last year was fairly heavily infested with
wooly adelgid. I never saw them on any other trees so they must be fairly
specific for beech. Does anyone out there have a similar problem? I live
in Southeastern Washington state (the hot, dry side that some people are not
aware of) and my beech is always the last to break dormancy. Assuming that
it will leaf out one more time for me, does anyone out there have a favorite
strategy for control? I am not averse to using insecticides if they are
mild enough to not damage the tree.

Thanks
Sam H.
