Could anyone tell me how to kill michigan bamboo it is taking over my
garden i have try weed and bush killer i have tryed digging it up but
the more you cut and dig the more it grows can anyone please help me

Depending on the type, there might be nurseries that will send a group
over to dig it up and take it away to sell. If you know what kind it
is, let us know, send a pic, or describe it in detail.

In general though, you can cut it completely to the ground. Then let it
send up new shoots. Wait about 2 months after they started shooting and
then cut them off again.

Bamboo is hard to kill because it stores so much energy underground.
However, it uses tons of that energy to send up shoots. Letting it send
up shoots but then cutting them off before they have a chance to
generate new energy really depletes the plant.

It may put up very small leafy shoots after that, and these will
probably be killed by something like round-up.

There may be small patches of it that survive and try to get a foothold
in your garden again. So pay attention to what the leavs look like, and
then treat these like you would any other weeds... Spray or dig up.

If it is bamboo, about the only way you can really kill it is to cut it
down to the ground, let it shoot and just before the shoot starts to
leaf out you cut it down again. Repeat until it stops doing it. It
may take a few seasons to kill it, especially if it is well
established.

A picture would go a long way towards determining if it is actually
bamboo.

Just on a guess go and google this plant- Japanese knotweed or
Polygonum cuspidatum and get bact to us as to whether this is Michigan
Bamboo.
