Turf quality question...
Hi,
I have got a small lawn ( probably no bigger than 2m x 4m ) and it always
ends up half dead - possibly due to a leaky labrador.
Recently we had it re-turfed but within a few weeks it has turned half
brown. The turf that was laid didn't look all that great when it went down
so I'm wondering whether
there are good and bad grades of turf?
Is it possible to buy superior quality turf, or is it all much the same?

Re: Turf quality question...
Not all turf is the same, dpends on type of grass seed used and how and the
density.
last year laying a lawn, Imchanged my mind about the shape after ordering
the turf, had to buy from another place, local garden centre as delivery
charges for just a few rolls would have been nonsenical.
The difference is amazing.
the local centre turf is planted very sparsely with grass and has had to be
reseeded this year.
And yes it is possible to buy premium quality turf

You get what you pay for. A couple of considerations are, how long was it
rolled up before laying, and what kind of weather have you had since laying
it?
It can need watering every day until it settles in and its roots start doing
their stuff.
