clematis macropetla in a pot

i've a markmans pink in a large pot which has been trained up against a
short 2ft high wall. its stems have well wrapped themselves around the
wire i put in the wall.

issue is i move in early sept and untangling all the stems from the
wire looks near impossible.

i want to enjoy leaves till i move but am worried cutting it down to
ground late august might kill the plant. i know i'll lose next years
flowers, but want to take it with me

question is do you think cuttin it back hard end of august will affect
it, and as long as its in a sunny spot & feed early autum it will make
it through winter? or should i cut now, and give it long as possible to
set itself for winter?

appreciate any advice!
