Unwins Petty Pan Squash

Never seen nor grown these before and only grew them out of curiosity
when some seeds were given me. Now the first fruits are set and are
racing away.
The problem is ........ I don't know what to do with them.
What's the best size to pick them?
Do they store well ?
Any suggestions on how to prepare and cook them ?
Are they peeled like, say, butternut squash ?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Small. 2" across for eating raw, or a bit more for cooking.

Not really.

Like (globe) courgettes. Sliced in salad or in fingers for dipping,
or cooked in any of the usual ways.

Not if picked young enough.

I used to grow them. I let them grow to about six inches in diameter.
Cut off the top, remove the flesh and then stuff them with a mince/rice
mixture and the flesh. Bake in the oven for half an hour.

Sorry, missed this first time.

Yes, if they are mature and have a firm skin, they will store for
several months. We've used them as a Sunday supper in the depths of
winter!
