sorry about the cross-post to dogs and gardens, but i am in search of
developers of a new australian breed- the antipodean shorthair. Apparently
these are the descendants of cats first brought to australia and new zealand
by settlers. they are renowned for being versatile, loyal, easy-going and
good hunters, and were raised as working cats, not pets. They are somewhere
in between the rounder, 'cobby' look of other shorthairs, and the slanty
eyed orientals. they come in most colours, excepting the oriental mists,
points and tips etc. any knowledge of this breed would be greatly
appreciated- they are recognised as a breed in nz but not in australia yet-
they are a very new, developing breed that i am very interested in. thanks
