Is This vine weevil eggs

Recently clearing out the polyanthus from a container after having a good
show this year I came across a vine weevil and promptly disposed of it.
I also came across a bunch of eggs white in colour and shaped like a 2mm
ball, these were in a cluster of approx 50 eggs.
Would this be the eggs of the vine weevil or some other garden pest?

I'm not sure how big the eggs are. I've only ever found their larvae

Were they a bit like frog spawn?
If so they were most probably slug or snail eggs.

Yep. Vine weevil are yellow and difficult to squash but squashable.

Vine weevil eggs are extremely small, so I doubt you would spot them.
These are more likely to be mollusc eggs

Slug/snail eggs, you are unlikely to see Vine Weevil eggs but you've
seen the grubs so you will need to control vine weevil by chemicals or
biocontrols..
