Plant ID please
http://i4.tinypic.com/10yf9ro.jpg
This plant was given to us by our neighbour and it has just come into
flower. Trouble is, neighbour cannot remember what it is!!!
Plant leaves similar to a Day Lily and about 2 feet high, white flowers
about an inch across on long stem which rises above the leaves to about 3 ft
high.
There are a number of flowers on each stem, each flower only having 3
petals!!
Will try to post a better picture.

Re: Plant ID please
Yes I think it might well be libertia, particularly given the flowering
time.
Re: Plant ID please
:-)))))
Very many thanks. That's it. Joan is now happy.
She had studied the RHS Book but not recognised it. She is now sitting on
the settee in the Garden Room with the RHS book AND a magnifying glass :-))
and confirmed it :-))
Many thanks
Mike

They are very nice if they get going and spread a bit. We bought 3 at a
plant sale in Dublin 2 weeks ago.
I have no idea which species is which; there are 2 or 3 commonly planted
ones. Yours looks nice and tall and with quite big flowers.

Thanks for the comments Des. As I said they were given to us by our 'almost
new' ( just over a year) neighbours. They had a Nursery so I expect they are
of a good stock.
Super neighbours, they were the ones which looked after our house for us
whilst we were away for half the Winter on our Cruise :-)))
