'Punicea' (syn. 'Crimson Cloud') does not reproduce from cuttings. Ask Brent
Walston. I couldn't even get it to sprout from root cuttings. If you are
successful, it must be 'Paul's Scarlet.'
'Paul's (so-called) Scarlet' is the one with double pink flowers. 'Punicea'
(the correct name according to Hillier's Manual) has single white flowers
with a wide red-to-pink edge.
I need a couple of root grafts to improve the nebari on my 'Punicea.' Brent
is supposed to be sending me two baby 'Paul's Scarlet,' as the bark is
identical.
