#1: [IBC] shoppping trip

Posted on 2005-07-18 03:49:57 by kits

Well on a 300 mile trip, a 30 mile detour is nothing.
So on a trip back from northern California, I had an
opportunity to drop in at Brent’s Evergreen
Gardenworks and do a bit of shopping. (I had
permission to drop in)

I don’t know why it still amazes me that his plants
are the healthiest I have seen anywhere. I have
bought other 3” starter plants from other sources and
even the same species over time, Brent’s grow faster
and are greener.

He does almost strictly a mail order business, but I
prefer the hands on type of tree adoption, but if I
did do mail order, I would feel safe having Brent pick
out trees for me. I was able to pick up two trees
that were ready from my wait list and several really
nice crabapples. This fall I am hoping for a plot in
a community garden. I wanted some stuff to put into
the ground.

No, he didn’t give me any trees, this is a perfectly
voluntary plug in his favor. I did so well with the
small starters that I didn’t dare go in to see the
larger plants.
